"It looks good, works well but can be noisy, especially on the higher fan settings. Fits onto the wall with just two fixings which come through key hole slots in the back so nice and easy to fix in place. I used hex head screws on mine as the fan mechanism does get in the way of a screw driver when trying to fix with normal screws."

Review 6 for CHX90SS Cooker Chimney Hood Stainless Steel 900mm
"Next day delivery great. The hood is lightweight, attractive and should have been straight forward to fix. However, the collar supplied was not fit for purpose. The bag with that and other bits had been wrapped so tightly, that the brittle plastic was broken and couldn't be used. I ended up using mastic to fix a round reducer to the top to fix to the Manrose cooker hood kit. The other problem I had was fitting the chimney which comes in two parts to reach most ceilings. One part was too long and the pre-drilled one was too short. It was probably my DIY skills that were lacking and I didn't want a join line on the chimney. This was the most frustrating element for me (more so than the collar). However, the client (aka the wife) is pleased with the result. What would improve my rating - a better collar made of better plastic that can link direct to the cooker hood duct kit and a paper template for marking the wall prior to fitting. It has only been operational for two days but is quieter than the previous hood. As other reviewers have said the light isn't great. But that said, I'd recommend this product."

Review 7 for CHX90SS Cooker Chimney Hood Stainless Steel 900mm
"I had to return this cooker hood and Screwfix accepted it back with no problems, so 10/10 for Screwfix.
The hood was fitted correctly with 5” ducting to an outside wall. On first use, condensation formed on the motor and began dripping back onto the hob within 90 seconds. This happened on every subsequent use. I contacted the importer (CNA Trading Appliances) and spoke to a very polite technical support employee. He agreed that the hood was installed correctly and told me that the hood was working as it should. He said that the hood was only designed to extract smells. It was not designed to extract steam. (After the call, I re-read the handbook and it states in black & white that “this product does not extract steam”). He politely kept trying to find an excuse or reason why he could blame me for the product being inadequate, suggesting that I keep steam to a minimum and opened a window.
At best, the hood does a mediocre job of extracting smells. It looks pretty on the wall. The lights are not particularly bright, but they are lights. It makes a bit of a noise when you press the button. But thats about it. It’s basically a decorative toy. If you want an extractor, then I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I found one, with a seven year guarantee, that EXTRACTS steam and smells, for not a great amount more than than this one - manufactured by a company with confidence and integrity.
