Good fixings
19 Nov 2013
By Spez

"As far as I can tell they are great. Didn't fix perfectly every time into mortar, but when drilled into brick or concrete block they were fantastic! Cant really comment on reliability and performance as only oinstalled in the last month or so, but hopefully will be great."

Works Really Well
28 May 2013
By Grantone

"Has anchored really well into brick and block for me. I'm finding it very useful over plug type fixings because you can add additional fasteners with whatever piece you're fixing already in place. The Torq head is also a nice touch."

Great screws
27 Oct 2012
By Thamesis

"Brilliant for attaching most things to bricks. Certainly better than using wall plugs - these screws don't bend and really lock into the bricks.
Unfortunately only comes in 7.5mm size. You need a 6.5mm masonry drill for use with bricks and a 7mm or even 7.5mm drill bit for use with concrete."

Excellent Product
2 Oct 2012
By Rossco12

"These concrete screws are superb.
I use them for fixing all sorts of things to concrete and masonary, not just in upvc window and door fitting, which is where i first came across them.
They are expensive compared to the 'plug and screw' alternative but i think that the price difference is more than compensated for by the far superior performance and reliability.
If you want to be double sure that what you are fixing doesnt come loose then these are the screws to go with.
A couple of things to be wary of however are, that the torq bit supplied is not of the greatest quality and will wear out, so have some back-ups ready.
And if you are drilling a lot of holes keep an eye on your 6mm masonary drill bit, as if it wears down and starts drilling 5.5mm holes then you are going to really struggle to get the screws in.

Brilliant concrete screws

"I needed to screw framing to concrete so i used Nylon Hammerfix, but i found then to be to short and not secure enough. So i used these to finish the job. I should of used these from the start. Only problem is when screwing in you have to back them off now and again before continuing."

Fantastic Fixings!
6 Jun 2012
By Ceriffwrdd

"Bought these for one job which was to anchor the legs of a marquee to a blocked courtyard for a wedding and have since used them for many things!
Hard to believe at first that a fixing for masonry doesn't need any kind of plug but it's true!
Perfect for hanging basket brackets, washing line fixing, attaching battens and much much more.
Stunning value with 100 in a pack and reusable (if you need to secure a marquee for example)
T-30 head provides perfect driving with no jumping. Just mark, drill, fix. Perfect!"

What a discovery!
20 Jan 2012
By Stewart365

"Used 70mm, 100mm & 120mm timco concrete screws instead of the traditional nylon products and found a huge time saving during installation. When battoning out I found them very useful as you can unfasten, apply packers and then re-fix. I would note that this fixing should only be used when installing into a solid base material like brick and concrete. I have tried them in modern aircrete blocks, they did hold but with minimum strength, I would recommend this fixing as an alternative to nylon and plastic fixings any day!"

Excellent Fixings
2 Nov 2011
By JonJG
, Kent
"Strong and effective. Torx head screw and driver very effective and even allows for slightly angled access where there is limited space.
Saves so much time and effort in being able to drill a single size of hole for the frame and brickwork. Even works through lintels though my electric drill/driver had to be fully powered to get through the pressed metal lintel. Suspect they wouldn't work with an RSJ. Be sure the brickwork is sound though as this can be rough on weak bricks.
Need to countersink frames to ensure the screwhead sits nicely. Too much power and it will drive the screw head into the wood which shows how strong these are. As the thread bites into the wood frame and the substrate it holds the frame securely in position.
A great improvement on the plastic plugs and Phillips screw head of last decades fixings. So value for money as fast and effective.

quick fix for studwork
31 Dec 2013
By coolmoose
, Staffordshire
"I have used these for attaching studwork to high density concrete blockwork.
If you take care to use the correct drill sizes they will easily drive using a rechargeable drill driver very tight without having to plug first.
The only limitation I have found is the strength of the material, where the insertion wass less than a couple of inches it was easy to strip out the hole and lose grip. Where the insertion was good it would literally pull the fixing into the studding.
