"I'm very pleased with this piece of kit; it is basic but it does the trick. I'm not very DIY savvy, but I managed to figure it out and install it fairly quickly with a spot of well placed drilling. The alarm is pretty loud and noticeable from a distance. There are more pricey kits out there, but for a terraced house, with cover over the front and the back, this will be just fine."
"Brilliant service from screwfix once again. Had this item in stock, its easy to use, may not be a top end alarm but certainly puts peace of kind there. Reliable, loud enough to scare of any burglar and a great deterant. Easy to install"
"Easy installation, even for DIYers. Took me around 45 minutes to install.... including drilling the holes on the wall outside ... on top of my dodgy ladder ... for the alarm box. Works a treat!! Probably not the greatest alarm in the world but provides a good deterrent against the opportunist thief."
"Just what you need to scare off Billy the Burglar. The bright yellow box should be bright enough to put him off on its own. Easy to program and easy to fit. Hopefully it's one of those things that we'll never know whether it does it's job properly."
"I highly recommend this product for it's ease of use, instillation and features. The DVD is good, but as the control panel needs to be plugged in I found myself constantly pausing it as the power source was in the hallway and not in view of the TV, in the end I used the written instructions. That aside the set up is very easy, door /window contacts take seconds to fit, The PIR sensors take a bit longer due to having to drill holes. Plan out what you want where before you start and then follow the instructions, it's very easy. We bought two key rings as an addition and would strongly recommend them as it is much easier than rushing to the keypad. Also bought a Pet Sensor but couldn't get it to connect, the replacement was the same, but then realised it was for a different Yale system. Having finally got the right one it worked fine."
"This alarm system is great value for money and easily fitted. I fitted the door/window contacts to a upvc front and rear door, it's important to pack out the door frame contact so that both contact bases are approximately level, otherwise the contacts will not function correctly. I had a hard wired alarm in my previous house and this had a great deal more features than this one, however this is still a great system."
"This alarm is really easy to install and set up, once you have read and understood the instructions. From box to working took less than 2 hours with an additional door/window switch. Only downside with the basic alarm is that there is a permanent 20 second delay on all PIRs and switches once triggered which could allow an intruder to make a quick escape. (the alarm pips once when triggered but doesn't go off for 20s to allow deactivation on entry)"
"Cant fault this at all, great alarm system.Took me about 3 hours with a couple of added accessories. Tested for a further hour dashing through the house and all worked perfectly. I like the key fob accessory because the alarm goes off instantly and no 20 second delay when you set it with that. Advise is to read through the manual a few times and watch the dvd a couple of times as well and you'll be fine. I used a 5.5 drill bit for the rawl plugs and they fitted nice and tight."
"I bought this alarm to protect my garage and two sheds. Very quick and easy to install, also easy to set-up especially as there is a very comprehensive installation DVD included. I bought two key fobs to go with the alarm and these devices really make operation so easy, one click to arm or disarm. The siren is loud and will attract attention and should make intruders turn and run. Whilst the set-up is straightforward I did have to "fine-tune" the door contacts to get them to work. Ensure the 2 components are as close to each other as possible and on the same plane by packing one of the components if necessary."
"Having toyed with the idea of an alarm system for some time I finally decided on this one, which I consider to be good value for money Quite easy to set up, but you do need to be fairly adept at DIY, & have given an average of 4 stars including performance & reliability which have to be proven After fitting I contacted my house insurers & was very pleased to see that my premium was reduced by quite an amount, more than the system cost"
