excellent solution for fixing
28 Aug 2014
By hampsteadb

"We needed to securely fasten some steel bicycle hanging hooks to a breeze block wall in our Giant bicycle shop in the Docklands
From all the research I did, I was steered away from the traditional solution of plastic plugs and screws towards this specialist product.
Was not sure at first how / if it would work, but drilling a pilot hole with 6mm x 150mm masonry bit and then fixing 18 of the steel plates to the breeze block wall, has worked extremely well. We even had a member of staff hang off the lowest plate to check the load strength of the fixing.
These plates will take even electric bikes (around 25kg) no problem thanks to these excellent fixings, which were very easy to install using the supplied T30 bit and our cordless drill / driver"

Much better than plugs
24 Jul 2014
By FredBristol
, Bristol
"Fixing panels to an uneven brick wall was a pain using wall plugs: drill panel, drill through and mark wall, remove panel, drill holes for plugs and insert plugs. Replace panel and try and line it up with all the plugs'
NO MORE!
Long 6 mm drill through panel into wall, 7.5 mm through panel, insert screw - an impact driver helps - and on to the next with perfect alignment every time. And the screws can be easily loosened to allow panel adjustment.
Pro: Quicker, easier
Con: More expensive, impact power screwdriver advisable

The simplest masonry fixings
16 Jun 2014

"A fast and secure way to fix to concrete and masonry surfaces. I initially experienced some loose connections but used a bit that was 0.5 mm smaller then recommended and they worked a treat. Great for securing a plywood subfloor to an uneven concrete slab."

Awsome screws

"I use these screws a lot for fixing wall plates, I have had several customers ask why am I not using rawpulgs and I said these don't need them. I have never had any fail on me so far and find a impact driver is the best is to drive them in as they are driven home with a constant speed and force."

"As far as I can tell they are great. Didn't fix perfectly every time into mortar, but when drilled into brick or concrete block they were fantastic! Cant really comment on reliability and performance as only oinstalled in the last month or so, but hopefully will be great."

Works Really Well
28 May 2013
By Grantone

"Has anchored really well into brick and block for me. I'm finding it very useful over plug type fixings because you can add additional fasteners with whatever piece you're fixing already in place. The Torq head is also a nice touch."

Great screws
27 Oct 2012
By Thamesis
, London
"Brilliant for attaching most things to bricks. Certainly better than using wall plugs - these screws don't bend and really lock into the bricks.
Unfortunately only comes in 7.5mm size. You need a 6.5mm masonry drill for use with bricks and a 7mm or even 7.5mm drill bit for use with concrete."

Excellent Product
2 Oct 2012
By Rossco12

"These concrete screws are superb.
I use them for fixing all sorts of things to concrete and masonary, not just in upvc window and door fitting, which is where i first came across them.
They are expensive compared to the 'plug and screw' alternative but i think that the price difference is more than compensated for by the far superior performance and reliability.
If you want to be double sure that what you are fixing doesnt come loose then these are the screws to go with.
A couple of things to be wary of however are, that the torq bit supplied is not of the greatest quality and will wear out, so have some back-ups ready.
And if you are drilling a lot of holes keep an eye on your 6mm masonary drill bit, as if it wears down and starts drilling 5.5mm holes then you are going to really struggle to get the screws in.

Brilliant concrete screws
12 Sep 2012
By Falkie

"I needed to screw framing to concrete so i used Nylon Hammerfix, but i found then to be to short and not secure enough. So i used these to finish the job. I should of used these from the start. Only problem is when screwing in you have to back them off now and again before continuing."
