"Bought a few of them to replace the original ones in the 1970s built house, after the new spindles from the modern handles I bought wouldn't fit the hole of the old tubular latch (spindle was slightly too big for the hole).
Nice product and easy to fit (if the original plates are the same shape!).
"Seems to be working very well on a heavy duty door with plenty of traffic. Far superior to a lot of similar branded latch products. Would definetly recommend to friends. This was bought to replace another brand which after only a few hours had failed to work correctly."
"A good value product that performs well. Just make sure that it's fitted without any restrictions in the door, i.e don't make the hole too tight and give each one a bit of machine grease all over before fitting the body into the door and they will last a long time."
"These latches are larger than stated on the measurements they are in fact 80mm so had to return them as they needed to fit existing recess. But the quality of the product overall was great and excellent value for money."
"I bought a few of these a while back when I replaced all my downstairs doors and had to take a few back then to be exchanged because they were so badly made. Typically the tube was twisted or the collar that takes the square shaft would be skewed meaning that the door handles would have had to be fitted out of line. Also, a couple of them wouldn't hold the door shut securely - you could push against the door and it would open! Recently, my dogs managed to push yet another closed door open so I popped into Screwfix to get a replacement latch and this was the only 80mm they did but I found that the dimensions of teh replacements were slightly different meaning more fiddling around to get them to fit. I certainly will never buy any of these again even if they are cheap as they are not worth the hassle!"
