" I'm really sorry about this because I usually buy screwfix supplied items over any other but like the previous reviewer this item was taken back even without trying to use it as the tolerance was far too big. I didn't even try to tighten it as both the plastic and the copper pipes were so lose you could rattle them in the fitting. From experience they are supposed to be quite a tight fit to start with. I couldn't risk the fitting failing as it's the main stopcock for the house. "

" Fitted one of these on a new water main entering a property, (the original one had been in for 30+ years without any problems) everything ok for 3 months, then the spindle started leaking, damaged a wall and floor, tried to tighten the spindle only made the matter worse. It now involves a costly repair. "
