"I have used all the various makes of masonry drill bits over the years, but I have changed over to SDS drills especially when I have a large amount of holes to drill, as the main problem with masonry drills is heat. You get enough heat from the drill bit end, but if you are using an ordinary round masonry drill and it starts turning in the chuck you usually generate even more heat. The main thing to do with any make of masonry drill is to keep it cool, I always have a small amount of water to dip the drill in as I am using it, this extends the life of any make enormously. I recently had a large drilling job that included over 150 holes, even though I was using some highly rated makes these Erbauer drills proved their worth as drilled over a hundred size 6 holes with only 2 drills and the second drill was still in good condition as opposed to 3 rated brand makes that only managed 40 holes between them and they had no tip left. The material that I was drilling varied between slate, granite, concrete and sandstone, but it certainly took its toll on the drills, if it was not for the Erbauer drills the job would have been abandoned, as I naturally started off with the branded drill first, but completed the job with my standby set of Erbauer drills, first rate and highly recommended I will only be buying Erbauer in the future."
"Although not top quality, for which you would expect to pay top price. These drill bits are very good quality for those who are doing small irregular drilling. The price reflects very good value for money. Highly recommended product."
