Good value and works with LEDs

"We settled on this and its higher rated bigger brother as a good value for money replacement to aging transformers in our guest house driving 2x halogen MR16s and subsequently tried the RM70DN model with 2x10W Philips dimmable LED MR16s and have found it works very well in instances as as a replacement where older transfomers are under-loaded by the LEDs.
The transformer will drive 3 lamps but we are using it as a retrofit in a predominantly 2 lamp configuration.
The mains terminals are very good and much less fiddly than some other transformers, though the two outer pairs of output terminals are a bit fiddly as they are very close to the cable clamp screws (Tip: if wiring a typical two lamp configuration connect the lamp connector that can be near the transformer to one of the fiddly connctions first before you go up the ladder, and you can then use the much easier centre connector pair for the more distant lamp)."

Actually a RM70DN

"I've used several of these transformers, but beware, what you get is a slightly different product (RM70DN) that is bigger than the dimensions listed. Mostly it doesn't matter, but if you need it go inside a light fitting, it might."
