The first handle I broke myself. It had been on a week, and snapped where the handle meets the main cylindrical part that holds the square rod for the latch. On inspection there was a bubble in the casting where the two parts meet and it failed there.
On removing the handle for replacement, I was slightly concerned by the surface corrosion after just 1 week!
In a hurry, I replaced the handle with the same one - tenant was due in, and I didn't want to buy a different brand with a different shaped 'footprint' on the door (there would have been a mark in the paint).
One month on, I've been called out to the property again. The handle has failed in the same way, and there is corrosion again.
AWFUL! I've never known a product made of such low grade materials."
