Good quality
11 Mar 2014

"Good performance in drilling holes in 10 and 20mm mild steel plate using only one drill from the 5 in the pack for 8 holes. I used a drill press, kept speed down (800 rpm) and applied a smear of Rocol RTD compound. Obviously these are not cobalt drills but more than adequate performance for HSS.
The other reviewer must have had a duff batch of drills.or was drilling at too high speed without lubricant."

Failed on 6mm mild steel
16 Feb 2010
By Merree

"At about £2.40 each I thought these would be good enough to drill some holes in a 6mm thick RSJ. Regrettably they each went blunt within seconds even if I first went through with a pilot. Fine of course in wood.
For the RSJ, I got through it with the De Walt Extremem 2HSS drills. Over twice as expensive but for this application, the only solution."
