"I have installed all sorts of consumer units the crabtree starbreaker is quality the plug in feature gives better protection. Some cheaper CU like MK have become too flimsy and not fit for purpose in my opinion."

Review 2 for Crabtree 7-Way Fully Insulated RCD Board Consumer Unit
"Don't be put off by the negative reviews on this site - if you buy one of these for your house and find you need extra MCBs at a later date you WILL find them - and I don't work for Crabtree! Yes they're pricey, but the USP here is that the enclosed bus bar system which restricts you to their own Starbreaker circuit breakers is a good thing;- should an unwary meddler decide to poke around where they oughtn't they won't find a nice big shiny LIVE piece of copper staring back at them, just waiting to deliver potentially leathal voltage to the fingertips. Other makes of CCU usually fit a plastic shroud over the busbar area which in some cases can only be removed with use of a tool (a good thing) but in others just sits in a slot, and in either case it's just waiting to be forgotten to be replaced and subsequently thrown away. And if you think finding MCBs or incomers for Crabtree Starbreakers is hard, try getting a spare busbar shroud for one of the competitors without buying the whole board... Also, I've seen more mismatched MCBs shoe-horned into CCUs than I care to think of - not just unsightly but possibly dangerous. If price isn't an issue I don't fit any thing else in a domestic environment."

Review 4 for Crabtree 7-Way Fully Insulated RCD Board Consumer Unit
"Buyer Beware, you have to use Crabtrees unique 'SP'series of MCB's to fit this unit, A series that may be hard to source in the future should you wish to add to the units capacity! Think Betamax, laser-disc etc. I really cant recommend this product."
