"Since i got this i've become the gap man. Little gaps, no probs, just a gentle squeeze on the trigger, short burst.. filled around a 10mm gap in my door frame was a doddle.
Use in the loft space to seal a gap where an old wasp nest was, gun inside nest, excellent. even got a really tight spot at the eaves.. couldn't reach so nozzle unscrewed to the max and full trigger.. it was like silly string but did a fantastic job.
The best bit is you don't have to use the full can, it's always on hand for a little job, screw the valve tight and leave it for a month or so with no problems. when you think about it that feature alone pays for the gun over a short period of time.
I have been told to get maximum life out of the gun store it gun down in a rack or wedged in the side of the van, i can't vouch for this as i haven't had it long and it's never left alone too long. it's great.. those plastic straw cans.. never again."
"Like others here, I'd been messing about with the disposable plastic nozzle containers and having to use the whole lot up on one job. Using this gun I did a whole roof, about 90 pieces of celotex insulation which was a DIY job, i.e. done over about 6 evenings, with just one can. I've also used it to fit some UPVC windows. You can leave the gun connected to a can for longer than a month no problem.
The only tip I would mention is to try to make sure you use up *all* the foam in a can before you disconnect it from the gun because those cans don't seem to re-seal - I hadn't emptied one completely and it made quite a mess :)."
"Used to seal around some celotex insualtion boards, the gun has very good variable control and was very easy to set up and use. I normally use the cans which don't need the gun but I would never go back, worth the money for the precision and no waste. I also purchased the foam gun cleaner and although I haven't used it in the gun it certainly cleaned the plastic nozzles and outside of the gun really well."
"Purchased this gun for a couple jobs and read up on all the reviews to find it was the best one around. I found it very easy to use and just as long as you follow the cleaning instructions you cant go wrong. I have used this gun now on three jobs over two days and it looks brand new after cleaning it with the proper cleaner. The plastic nossle only lasted one job but it was not really needed and these tubes can be purchased anywhere."
"Had this gun about a year now, much better than its predeceser. Better control, doesnt leak. Still working as new. I leave foam can connected for up to a month and it works fine. Just clean it out as instructions say when you have finished with it, I just wish the knozzle was angled down a bit, so it would work better up against soffits and ceilings."
"Used it to seal kignspan for roof insulation. Did excellent work. Excellent control when dispensing foam and made a very easy job of sealing about 120 pieces of kingspan. I didn't use the plastic nozzles. Left it without cleaning and used it after a month - worked straight away. Impressed."
"Lots of professionals told me these are useless and always clog, but mine hasn't. Secret seems to be to OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS - always turn off immediately after use and leave with nozzle facing upwards.
Wonderful machine, has saved me a fortune on buying individual aerosol tins of foam. Can use for as little as you like then stop and put it away without having the whole tin set solid, or the nozzle gum up.
Perfectly controllable - can lay down a line of foam as thin as a piece of string if needed."
"Makes using the foam easy and with the NO NONSENSE cleaner it is easy to keep clean. The only minor problem was keeping the extension plastic tube attached to the metal gun. A few spare platics tubes would have been appreciated. Otherwise a very sound tool."
"Could not be more simple. Screw a can of foam on the gun and pull the trigger. Great control and no waste (unlike the spray cans). The secret is to leave a can of foam on the gun and keep the gun full of foam at all times. I do not bother with the plastic nozzles, the smaller one tends to fly off any way."
"I had this to replace the alternative that died after one use (90262). This is much better, with a good solid feel and a comfortable adjustment screw. My only gripe is that the nozzle tends to stick then release suddenly, which is OK for big fills but can be a pain when starting to lay down a thin sealing strip. Only used 3 cans so far, hopefully it will continue to be reliable!"
